To enable or activate a charger, you must have a sufficient balance in your account. Charging will automatically stop once your balance is finished.

How do I top up my balance?

Open the Powerly app, and at the top right, tap on the wallet icon. You will see “Available balance” under it, you will see available balance packages to refill your balance. Choose one and tap on it, then select your payment method and tap on “Agree & Continue” Your balance will then be topped up.

How do I share my EV charger on Powerly?

Sharing your EV charger on Powerly is a straightforward process. Start by downloading the Powerly app and creating an account. Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Power Center’ section and follow the prompts to register your charger. You will need to provide information about your charger, such as its type, location, and availability. You can also set your own pricing, whether per minute, per kWh, or per session.

Alternatively, you can sign in by entering your email and password. Please note, you must create a password before you can sign in using email and password.

How do I receive payments?

To receive payments, sign in to the dashboard. From the side menu, tap on “Payouts” and select your preferred payment options. The available payment options depend on the country in which you registered your account. Some payment methods may require additional information to verify your identity.

What mobile platforms are supported?

Powerly supports iOS and Android platforms. For the best experience, ensure your device is running iOS 13 or higher and Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher. Support for other platforms is on the way.

How do I set/change my VAT ID?

Open the Powerly app, go to “Account” at the top left, tap on “See Profile” set the VAT ID in the VAT field, then tap on “Save.” Note that invoices will be sent with the set name (first and last) and the VAT ID set in the ID.

What are Smart Meters and Smart Plugs?

Smart Meters are advanced electrical meters that record energy consumption in near real-time and communicate this information regularly throughout the day. This allows consumers to gain greater clarity about their consumption behavior and helps electricity suppliers with system monitoring and customer billing. By providing detailed insights into energy usage, Smart Meters enable users to make informed decisions to optimize their energy consumption, including the integration of renewable energy sources. Installation of Smart Meters may require a certified technician.

Smart Plugs, on the other hand, are a lightweight version of Smart Meters, designed for easy, plug-and-play installation. They provide similar functionality on a smaller scale, making them ideal for monitoring individual appliances or smaller energy loads. However, Smart Plugs have lower energy specifications compared to Smart Meters.
